This 25 year-young
department is the first of its kind in
Eastern India which offers integrated
facilities for - Echocardiography, Color
Doppler, Omni plane Tran esophageal
Echo- cardiograph, Contrast
Echocardiography, Cardiac MR!, Cardiac
CT and Isotope Imaging of the hear.t It
has helped holistic diagnosis of complex
heart diseases of all age groups, fetal
or geriatric.
EKO was again the
first in eastern India to install a
state-of-the-art computerized stress
test, along with high-resolution
Electrocardiogram, solid-state three
channel Halter Monitor and Pacemaker
Analyzer. The department has pioneered
Duplex Doppler study of peripheral
arteries and venous systems. Today
vascular analysis like Transcranial
Doppler, Organ Perfusion Flow Volumes,
3D Tumor Vascularity and Transplant
Kidney virtual 3D Angiography are
rputinely perfomed. Avanced instruments
in the department are also capable of
performing Harmonic Imaging, Tissue
Doppler, Myocardial Strain Mapping,
Automated Volume Calculations and 3D
Fetal Heart Reconstructions.
